Historically Inspired Creations

Thimble and Sword is the creative child of Tristan Archibald, with deep appreciation for the teachers and supporters who helped him along the way.

Tristan has a lengthy background in historical reenactment and reproduction crafts, beginning as a homeschooled child whose classrooms included the Smithsonian, the Maryland Renaissance Festival, and the Claude Moore Colonial Farm in Virginia. His passionate interests in fantasy, medieval and early modern history, and the simple joy of making by hand have led to the cultivation of his identity as a historically rooted craftsperson.

Tristan resides in New England with his three cats, surrounded by books, fabric, and craft supplies. He is autistic and transgender and uses he/they pronouns.
